oppss...sorry for this overdue..hmm which reminds me of my library books! ehek..but thats not the case. i have been indulging myself in reading some books. so here goes the final part of my journey..Edinburgh, Scotland. as i said.. i was doing some reading.. and the book 'easy ways to make a living' by abigail bosanko was depicted in edinburgh. i had just finished the book the night before we are off to the magical city..
we depart from Glasgow at about 11am. along the way..i was lucky enough to saw the train railway i believe was used in Harry Porter's films. the one like its on a long bridge.. it sure does look magical..but it was far away from the motorway and i saw just part of it. so no pictures. what a shame..
we arrived in beautiful edinburgh. i fell in love the moment i set my eyes on the city. with block after block of shops..with the beautiful garden opposite the over streched shops. and the great gallery and most of all the breathtaking magnificient Edinburgh Castle. it looks even lovelier at night. the castle shine on top of the rock believed to be a dead volcano some 3000 years ago.
well thats not the only great part of edinburgh. as i had mentioned before.. we stayed in a four star youth HOSTEL that to me looks like a 5 star HOTEL! it was so grand.. and the area looks like an expensive area. but with £14 pernight per person... i considered myself super lucky. we decided to stay in on the day we arrived.
the next morning. after breakfast we went to the city centre. only to find me trying super hard not to spend.. but i lost. i lost to 2 super nice blouses i found in NEXT which cost me quite dearly considering i have none in my account. i actually couldnt afford one of those blouse. blame the credit card!!! hehehe...but thats the only thing i bought really..
so we didnt even get the chance to go through all the shops. late that afternoon, Sal, Woo and i walk past a very beautiful figure. it looks like a lady dressed in red gown holding a rose in its hand..standing outside a shops. its only 4.20pm but it was dark. i couldnt see it properly so i went nearer to take a proper look at it.. it sure looks like a doll. the 3 of us couldnt really decide what it is really but as Sal n i stand next to the figure.. i could see his [i think its a he dressed as a lady] tummy was moving... i mean he is breathing! so we took pictures.. i was super excited to see him. when he moved and open his eyes.. i smiled and wave so hard at him.. and he gave me a bow! wow!!! it was an experience for me...
the was a funfair going on in ediburgh right in the heart of the city. after some shopping, Sal, Woo n me went to take a look at some of the rides there.. and i paid Sal to try at one of the booth.. ala..yg baling baling tin tu.. on the second try, we could have won a huge lion! i wasnt dissapointed really..bcos if we had won.. i wondered how we could have carried it onto the plane? hmm...
as we were strolling..going in and out of the shops.. i couldnt help noticing that Scottish men are so much more good looking...especially those in Kilt. ohh..they are so cute!! sadly, Kilt are way too expensive for me to own any. so i bought a miniature kilt that cost me £7. i could have bought a tshirt with that money. we took pictures with a man who was playing a bag pipe in full scotish costume. i do like the bag pipe sound..
on the next day..our final day. we decided to go for a walk along the river.. it was nice. but it was bloody cold!! i for once..felt too brave, did not wear my termal that day and it was below freezing! we took the chance to walk through the garden.. as it was soo cold, we had frost that day.. and the garden look like a scene in Narnia. we also speed up through the city centre and went straight up to the royal mile where it leads to the ediburgh castle. we didnt went into the castle. we had no time. but we took picture with a braveheart warrior. we stroll along the royal mile.. beautiful buildings! and i promised..
if i could..
i would come back to edinburgh during the summer..and spend at least another 2 nights exploring each part of the city and the castle.
i would try to further my study in edinburgh uni..so i could live in this beautiful city for at least another 3years..
i would come back again for my honeymoon with my future husband [ehek..] and walk with him along the garden in the city centre where there is a lot of bench sitting side by side. we could sit there all day..
ok.so it was time to go back.. we had to take a bus to the airport. we leave about 4pm. and reached the airport at about 4.30pm. our flight was at 7.15pm. we had pleanty of time. no worries. then at about 5pm..farah said we could check in already. but our flight was delayed by one hour. im not suprised considering the weather outside has been so frosted n foggy. but when we reached the counter, the lady said if we would like to be trasfered to an earlier flight.. which is due to take off at about 6pm. so we agreed. and after a few moment.i take a look at my watch. 5.30pm. ohh my God! half an hour? can we make it? we finished check in everbody's bag at about 10 to 6. so i said.. RUN GIRLS!!! so all of us was running on the escalator to the first floor. and we ran.. all the way to the screening area. where laylee had been stopped and checked twice! hmm.. it must be ur bangle laylee!! so..me and woo waited for her.. then we ran again.. to the boarding gate only to find out.. we have another like 5 minutes before we could board the plane.. &^%$$!!!! so much for the running!!! heh....
and the plane took off.. bubye edinburgh!! im sure i will miss u..infact i missed u already.. smooth take off...smooth landing.. but we had quite a traffic in heathrow. we couldnt get a parking space. and i was like..huh? full parking? really? we had to wait for 10 minutes or so before we could get a parking. everything was alright. so we took our bags and head for the tube.
ohh.. suddenly, sophie get a call.. all of us was invited to another small gathering in London. but i was wayyyy too tired. mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially drained. so all of us pass the invitation except sophie. no matter what.. all 6 of us took the tube to central london.
we hop on the tube..sitting in a group with our huge bags. mine was weighing 13.4kg. at about half way..[it was a super long way from heathrow to central london]something happen. and no. no tube was blew up. but a black man was harassing this indian guy with harsh word. he said.. all those bad words. i cant remember any of it anymore. when the indian guy went off the tube at his station. the black guy start coming towards us.. sophie was sitting nearest to the guy..while i was sitting at the other end. but we were in the last coach. there is nowhere for us to go. i was praying for sophie's safety. huhuhu...when he was near us. he said ONE SHOT!! JUST ONE SHOT!! ohh only God knows.. huhuh..i was hiding my face behind my sleeping bag and pretend to be sleeping. when we didnt respond.. he went to another lady.. and move away from us. then it was our station. paddington. some of us saw there was a man.. trying to slow talk with the black guy. and the man was quite good looking himself. hmm.. ehek
but i was more than happy nothing bad happen. so we let sophy go at about 11.15pm from paddington. so i settled the rest in and took a seat by myself.. hmm...i wished sophie's well being in london... alone... i was fast asleep at about 2am. i woke up at about 4.30am. we were due to arrived in plymouth at about 10 past 5...lucky enough for me to woke up in time when i saw the others was fast asleep.
at last we arrived in Marjon at about quater to 6. i fell asleep till about 11am..
the end of a superbly enriching and tiring 16 day journey..
WONDERFUL.
