Extreme makeover.

What this blog need is a serious makeover. It looked like this since the first real post here. 1st of September 2005. Which is like 9months ago. The previous posts are imported from my previous blog from friendster. Which is more or less does not exist anymore. So it needs to be revamp. needs a new look. fresh and new.

am I planning to do anything? Yes. When? Yet to be arranged. Currently my table calendar is filled with either 'SK' or 'Lit' or 'Diss'..

and yet yesterday was filled with one of the two things i did best...

BUANG MASA...

and the other one is buang duit...which i cant afford anymore..

believe it or not...its a super long weekend for me! i had no class on Friday. then came Saturday and Sunday. today, Monday..is bank holiday and this week is reading week in college. so no class tomorrow. and Wednesday 3 hours. Thursday no class. then Friday 2 hours. wow...patut la semua org jeles ngan kitaorg. kelas 5jam je seminggu..huhu..

and its gonna be a quiet week for me and my YM..i wont be spending hours and hours chatting cos A) im not supposed to.. and B) most of my usual chat buddies ada exam serentak this week. be it UK, M'sia, NZ, and Ausie. so its only gonna be more or less this everyday/nite...

its not like 'uhuk'... or 'ehek' [credit it to the real owner..hehe].. those two words do not have a meaning. its called fillers in linguistic terms. well i think so. like 'hmm', 'er..' etc etc.

its not like 'kewl' [a variation of 'cool'] which does not have a meaning unless u sound it out [which refer back to the word 'cool'].

its not abbreviation like 'gtg', 'brb' or 'asap' which actually means something...if u know wat it means. if not, u will lie awake at nite wondering wat it means.

HICK is supposed to be meaningless for my usage..

but it does have a meaning..

and its a Noun..

so adding an 'S' to it still makes it a real word.. *sigh*.

there goes my lame attempt to make HICKS exclusively mine. *flush*.

because HICK does have a meaning.

according to Dictionary.com..

it means..

A person regarded as gullible or provincial.

wat a wrong choice of word! huhu T_T

i have let my self down.again.

Huh. I'd just published a piece about courage. Yet I have let myself down. Loser. A total loser I am. Might as well gantung a loser sign around my neck! With all the blinks, so ppl won’t miss it for the world!!

the last post wasn't even brilliant. It was written with so much effort [it took 4 hours to write it, yet zero satisfaction] but lacking of feelings. I ought to learn how to transfer my feelings into words like that.

Empty. Yes. That describes the last post. Thus, the reason i'm writing this post.

Broken. Anger. Shattered. Disappointed. Rage. That's the feelings of this post. This one. Not the last one.

Ahh now I have release all that feelings. I shall sleep soundly tonight! Huhu...Before that I have to attend to my schoolwork.

The lion in me

Everything I like has a reason. Although sometimes, I didn’t realise the reason till later. But it does have a reason. Unlike the things I don’t like i.e. I can hate one thing for no reason.

Wizard of oz. I have no idea where to start or how. I’m sure u know the story. About a girl finding the way home. About meeting people along the way. I like the story bcos of Dorothy, but there is something else in that story appeals to me now, than just Dorothy and her quest of finding the way home. In the story, Dorothy with her dog, Toto, walk along the Yellow Brick Road, and meet the Scarecrow, the Tin man, and the Lion of which each of them followed Dorothy to the Emerald City. The Scarecrow wants to get a brain, the Tin Woodman a heart, and the Cowardly Lion courage.

And that brings me to another story of a girl who was about the same age as me, some 10 years ago. How that little girl, alone, scared and confused, find the courage to go on in life. She was just a girl, and yet she was forced to deal with the hard cruel truth of life. The story has huge impact in my life. I was so touched by the story, and I found myself remembering about the little girl whenever I need the courage to go on.

And when I knew I had to travel to a place 10 000miles away from familiarity, I suddenly hit the urge to find something that can remind me of that little girl and her story. How she go through that dark moments in her life. She survives, bitting her share of cruel life before her time. I knew, that one day, when I am alone, scared and confused, I need be reminded how that little girl find the courage to go on. How that little girl survive. And she was just a little girl then.

I was born under the zodiac sign Leo, which means 'lion' in Latin. Thus, lion means loads of different things to me. Not that I know, lion is a symbol to courage [or according to Wikipedia, its accompanying animal], but I really like the idea of having a lion teddy. Something that is rare-liked by others. And so, my search of a lion teddy starts until I found him in KLCC. And so he travels with me 10 000miles away from familiarity. And his name is Lion [with a capital L].

And I was right. I need to be reminded. Of that little girl. And her story. And her courage.

But, I was so blessed to be reminded again when I was given another lion teddy by a friend. Just in time. And I named it 'Panglima', echoing my 'Srikandi' [same case, different reason] nick.

Say what u want.

For some reason, the word LION may just mean another wild animal to you.

For me,

It means, that little girl. Her story. Her courage.

That little girl is me.

Her story is mine.

Her courage is still mine. Hopefully.

huhu..i admit it was a good experience working with all those media stuff i did this term. the video - Ulead, Movie Maker. the audio- Sound Forge [discovering the artist in me..], the graphic- the ultimate never ending ever exciting Paint Shop Pro.. and the best...the animation - the animation shop and the one which helps me create my own animated gif.. hehe... PIVOT.exe...love it love it...simple yet cool...

i have all this wonderful titles for today's blog. but dem.. i have this project that i havent really finish.. and its due this friday. im done with the website actually...but not the other bits and pieces. graphic is done. animation..still working on it. video: done..only need to stick it on. audio: ZERO..nothing.. no idea.. wat so ever...HELP PLEASE!!!! profile section: done really..but might do a picture gallery if i have the time. software review: 40% done..i have all i need.. only need to actually write the review. huhu... banyak lagi sebenarnyer.. huhu... all day tomorrow i guess. and on thursday too. 12pm friday the 19th. needs to be in. on a CD. wish me luck!

its too wicked!!

i may sound daft..but this is tooo wicked and tooo cool not to be blog!! having LS itself is a cool thing..tho i dont use much of it..but this REMOTE DESKTOP thingy is waayyy even cooler..

here is the deal: all Marjon student have our own drive on the college network which called Hyacinth or more famously known as the N drive. however, before this.. we could only access this drive from computers on campus. i never use much of it till i had to attend this IT classes.. and because i cant access it from my own laptop in my room..i always stick bits and pieces of my work onto the Learning Space [LS].. which i can upload about 20mb. and download it back from my laptop. it works fine before until we have to do this cool project!! hehe...

this term i had the chance to play around with loads of media stuff in IT class...we play around with graphics, animations, videos, audio, and even come out with a tiny project of our own animation.. wayyy too cool!! hehe.. at the beginning of the term..we started this website project and it will be the place to stick all other little projects we did in class...ie the graphics, video [hopefully], audio, and animations.. well along with a personal profile section and a review of educational softwares [which is the boring bit..ahakss]. and in order to continue working.. we need this Macromedia Dreamweaver studio 8.. but u see...its the other bits and pieces of graphics and stuffs need to be carried around [lab...laptop...class...room..] and that sucks! so today.. Mike [my IT lecturer..and he is soooooooooo cool!!], with other CITE [IT deparment in college] staff set this remote desktop so we could access the college network from our own laptop in the comfort of our own room!!!

i can use the college computers in daylight..but u see..there are always loads of people trying to use it. and we can only access Dreamweaver 8 in that particular room up in CITE.. i could work at night as CITE is open till 10pm, i think..but i dont really like the idea being up there at night. scary ooo.. uhuhu...so this remote desktop is PERFECT and WICKED!!! hehe..

its like having another computer... and it works like another internet browser..u can minimize it and all..and the best thing, i can access all my work on my Hyacinth drive and i dont have to download dreamweaver studio 8 and paint shop pro.. hell it saves me load of work!! so now...i am off to finish up my website as it is due on the 19th of May and hopefully everything goes well.. by the 22nd or 23rd of May, all 25 websites [mine along with my other fellow classmates] will be available on the net.. i will of course announce the link in this blog as soon as everything is done n running properly.

Ohh i love myself!! i love me soooo much!!!! i love MARJON...i love plymouth!! i love it...and i love everything in my life now....

yup thats how it felt. i have been bloghopping and read loads of good post -one after another- from my usual doses and also some new ones.. and i would like to write one too.. a good one. but i dont have much to write lately.. what more good things to write.

so ok.. i have been slacking this past few days.. i should have done what i should be doing but i didnt. but life is a little bit on the depressing part rather than the exciting part.. ok. thats an excuse. lame.

i think i need a new blog. i dont feel free to write anymore. i keep on thinking about the things i put in my blog. i have been deleting every other word i type. whats wrong? why cant i write what i want anymore? argghh..

serious work needs to be done. serious reading and tonnes of it have to start now. this moment. and i realise the amount of work that can be done while i am accompanied by mr ipod is so much more than while im with mr laptop. hmm...might be a good reason to buy one.. so i can spend more time, away from the laptop, in the library.. good for me tho.. hehe.. less time spend on ebay. uhuk.

and next week, i have something interesting instore for me...

something that i have been wanting to do for quite sometime now.. since im in UK..well, not quite what i have in mind but close.. and the last time i ever did it was like 15 years or so ago.

memories relived. this used to be me. looking smart in those uniform. feeling proud to be there. although its burning hot under the scorching sun!! hell yeah...i stand straight. be part of the squad.

practices after school..every afternoon. it was just a marching practice. but hell yeah.. we jog around the school compound. 5times!! and my school isnt small. my leg hurt. my feet scream. my skin burn. my body worn out. hell yeah.. i stayed there. stay in the squad. tho im just a member. i was never in the committee but im proud to be part of it.

i still remember i did a model of the Scout Tower for SMARTNiaga '99. it was the first SMARTNiaga.. hell yeah..all eyes on US!!! we stole the day...never failed! the artwork..masterpiece!

i remember all the hardwork. i remember all the sweat. i remember all the bruises. i remember all the cuts. i remember all the pain. i remember all the tears. i remember all the smiles. i remember all the laughter. ahh sweet...the memories.. and it shall live on...

since i arrive in UK.. my eating habit change..some of the things i used to eat in m'sia stop the moment i step my foot in UK. and i -kononnyer being brave- tried some of the things i never had in mesia.. and i for sure gonna miss those things when i get back to msia..

sekarang dah pandai makan ikan...huhu..asyik telan ayam jer..busan gak.. tapi aku rasa kalau balik mesia mesti gagal jugak makan ikan...sbb ikan kat sini takde tulang!!! hehe..

apparently they are not as anonymous as we think they are....hmmm... they are a bunch of lawyers who blog and i enjoy reading their blogs. and no, i didnt jump from one to another...i found them from 4 corners of the worlds..which basically means not connected to each other. and i cant believe all this while i didnt know that they know each other. i believe they are uni friends. huhuhu.. i have been reading their blog for ages! cant believe i miss that!! i have no-whatever-sort of intention of revealing who they are.. but ya...go ahead..click at their names..and u will dive into the wonderful world of BLOG....
