my first time...

ye today is my first time screaming at them..i was extremely angry at my year 3.
for my one hour lesson, i intended to teach reading with writing... so i did some reading from the textbook. i asked some questions to move away from the text... so it would not be too dull... [konon cam terror aaa..hehehe...]
then i went to the next page... there are 5 pictures. and there are some words at the bottom of the page to help the students to make sentences. i already go through the sentences orally by nominating them to create sentences for each pictures.
then i asked them to take out their English 1. i ask them to write the day and date on top.
then on the 2nd line write Fun Times. and on the 3rd line write page 68, textbook. i wanted to train them recording where the work come from. i even draw the lines..like the one in their exercise book. ok. i can tolerate if they asked..kat mana cikgu...tepi ni ke? [while showing on their book..] teacher...kena tulis ek yg tu? miss yaqin...is it like this?
ok i understand they would ask such questions because this is the first time they were asked to do such thing... then i draw a box... and below the box i wrote...'write sentences for the pictures above' and i read the instruction more than 3 times.
ok some of them are still busy trying to paste the pictures. i asked them to sit and i will go around helping them.. and i asked the rest to start writing the sentences.
would you like to know how many sentences i asked them to write? 5 sentences for 5 pictures.
when i was a student in Methodist....mana ada cikgu baik hati nak tolong guntingkan gambar untuk budak2.. and i wanted to go round helping those who can do it on their own.. but i cant do that because i was busy cutting the pictures for them.. huhu... and in between ada lagi yg tanya cikgu...tampal cam ni ek?...then...ada yg brani tanya...'kena tampal ek cikgu?' ok...i started to boil... Ye! tampal dlm buku... [grrrrr......]
after i have done with the cutting...i go round the class...ada yg still dok salin arahan lagi... huhu its taking them 20minutes to write day and date, cut and paste and copy the instruction. then.. i saw one or two of them doing the second or third one..ok sejuk sket.. about 2 minutes to go..then ada sorang ni..' teacher..write sentences aaaa?' while picking up his book and showing me to the blank space below the pictures and without the instruction....

'i wrote the instruction on the board. i said it more than 3 times. what is the meaning of the word instruction? what is it in malay? '

pertama kali aku jerit cam tuh... dan pertama kali jugak aku nampak budak2 tu kecik sangat... and diam jek seme...
i hope that will be the last time...
and tomorrow...i have the best remedy for those who cant listen...
a listening game. and those who do not follow instruction will get it from me.
i think the 'Simon says...' game is good to train them listening to instructions...
Year 3, 9 year olds, can't listen to simple instructions..
i will start from zero tomorrow...
stand up, sit down, raise your right hand, left hand and turn around....
kalau tu pun takleh nak dengar jugak...
sayang....i dont want to teach! i give up before even started....
i hope not...
